Spinal taps music is part of the humour it's an integral part of the movie .... Stonehenge etc give it that 70's we loved it at the time , what the fuck were we thinking appeal ....
You can go though the movie and with each song you can name the band who they are poking fun at .

In college my roomate had this drop dead gorgious girlfriend. Then things started to sour then they had a spat and it was over. He wasted no time getting a replacement. It was a girl who lived on the other side of our apartment complex. I dated one of her roomates. She really wasn't that great looking actually. Not even in the class of what he had before. Expand on 'sucks'. What is it - specifically - that 'sucks'?

They can all really play their instruments; the melodies in the songs are hooky and catchy; and the parody is very, very acute. I'm struggling to see where they fall down.

Again: you don't have to like it. But there is a difference between saying 'I don't like that' and 'that sucks (i.e. it's not very good'). One is a statement of preference, the other is a statement of worth.
