By the way I'm blasting this full blast through 500 watts of power. It's rattling the place pretty good and not sounding too bad. Mikes bass sounds surprising good for an MP3.

If they had internet back then...i guess they would have only ripped off old tunes etc.. Good shit....timeless

Hey psycho, please get out of my Van Halen T-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up.

To be honest. The raw energy is better on the demo than the studio albums. Nothing needs to be changed. It's all so perfect. Everyone is ripping it.

Ever since I first heard this back in 2000, I always thought "Light In The Sky" (12:27) was the most overlooked gem of the bunch. I can't think of another song that has quite the same vibe--a dark, brooding groover. Maybe "Little Dreamer" comes close.

This was my Holy grail for a long ass time. These CD's held me and my buddies over until ADKOT.......absolutely love this collection of raw energy. And to all those boneheads who knocked the band for re-working old demos......I guess that means I can no longer enjoy Romeo Delight because the chorus was used in Show On The Road.....or Mean Streets cuz It was Voodo Queen....and I can't enjoy the ending to hot For Teacher cuz it was the ending of Voodo Queen.....etc etc...

This is amazing! Does anyone know if it is available anywhere on CD or if there's a way to convert this so I can put on my iPhone? Would love to listen to this blasting in the car.

These guy's had so much talent ! Shit they could have put out 2 albums a year back then. In their prime ! Shit, I would have loved a 12 pack instead of a 6 pack. Lol.

One major reason is Mike, Alex, and Eddie were real musicians. Mike could read music and was a trumpet player. His dad was a proffessional musician. Alex and Eddie's father was a proffessional musician and those two had years of real musical training before going to rock and roll. Ed once said piano is his first instrument and the guitar is the second. He said he actually composes songs on a piano then takes it to guitar.

There's proffessional musicianship here and with the schools cutting music programs and parents spoiling their kids instead of making them take piano lessons, you just don't have the skill and the musical base at the levels that once existed. One problem is a band can come out with an album of some good songs but they really struggle to make the second one and because they lack in musical skills they can't write new songs fast that are different or play with other musicians on the fly. This is one major problem.

Damn dude, I hope so too!!! A couple of weeks back I finally broke down and ordered the Dave solo DVD from Camden in 2002. I hated to do it but I wanted the damn show and I only had to cough up 14 bucks including shipping. Believe it or not it actually came in a case with a proper label and artwork on the DVD itself. And if anybody wants a copy all you gotta do is PM me and you won't have to pay anything for it.

Love Light in the Sky. That melodic riff in the chorus is only about 35 years ahead of its time. Not sure about the "farmer's daughter" rambling, though. Always thought it sounded like Dave off the cuffed this baby in the studio, like they sprung this tune on him. Never heard anything like it in club boots.

So I got my copy Friday..pretty fast service...Came with cover and back art..no jewel case..I knew it wouldnt be a top notch recording..I was right..sounds good on my laptop and car if turned up loud enough..I do like these versions of the old stuff...raw and full of energy..the extended solo on SGMAD should have been put on vinyl..Piece of Mind is a great tune...love the faster Little Dreamer..
