Ozzy sounds pretty damn great.....whole band does!
right before the accident. Just another reminder of how great he was.
Great.... at least from what you can actually see of Randy......
Apparently the filmer was in love with Sarzo or something?

Another clip from the same gig.....
One thing's for sure...Randy was ripping....
Did he miss a note??? Jesus.....
I know which guitar player I like to listen to most and the one that influenced me the most, but when I hear stuff like this I gotta think twice who I think was the greatest of all time.

Ozzy sounds good on Mr. Crowley !!
Randy's tone live sounds so mean....that dude was flawless.
I am most likely pointing out the obvious here, but these clips are from the Blizzard/Diary box last year. This is the footage a news team shot for a piece for a local news station in New Mexico. Why Sharon had the news team shoot from Rudy's side of the stage, and moreso, why Ozzy didn't give Randy a lift during the Crowley outro either? In hindsight, they probably wondered the same thing when adding this to the box.

How's the audio on the box set version ??
About the same, somewhat muffled...as the crew filmed this to use as a visual for the story's voice-over, and while Ozzy is interviewed in the dressing room...during which you can hear Randy in the background warming up, and Tommy is tapping away on a drum pad.
The amount of black around Ozzy's eyes has to be seen to be believed!
The interview was just a quick segment, (maybe two minutes) and it would seem the station handed over the vid to the Osbournes once they ran the segment.
All in all, this is the second best segment on the disc, with a greatly cleaned-up After Hours coming first, and the Palladium footage coming last...not to knock it, as footage of Rhoads is rare, but naturally, the songs are incomplete, as it's Super-8 and the audio is of lesser quality than NM.
I'm very suprised Ozzy, Inc. hasn't yanked this stuff from yt by now.
The one thing I noticed when I saw Ozzy for the first time in 82 was that he claps like a retard. Kidding!

Not a big Ozzy fan, but I would give my left nut to see this vintage of Oz with Rhodes live...
Fuck yeah!
Cheers for these vids, guys. Never seen 'em before.
The Power Of The Riff Compels Me
Just picked up Tribute from 1987, about the closest thing to this and showcasing the Rhodes era live...
Just a damn shame there was never a pro shot video of that band, aside from that 4 song TV appearance on that "After Hours" show, or whatever it was called.
Hell, I'd even settle for a well filmed bootleg, remastered with a decent soundboard recording of a gig.
Did Ozzy & Randy ever play at the Capitol Center in Largo Maryland, by chance? Because those fuckers apparently taped everything at that venue.
I'll second that! Though it's from an unknown venue, it's much better than Tribute.
Ford, the Diary tour was scheduled to roll thru Largo on 3/24

I'm not sure that Tribute sucks. It sounds good to me. But the new one is very good. Seems to have a edge to it for sure.
