Eddie Trunk just tweeted: "Sammy planned on ripping one solo into break during this show, then thought better of it after seeing @john5guitarist !"
Score two for Trunk but I'm sure it will end up being a suckfest.

I must be the only guy on this site that knows next to nothing about John5

They should ask Mikey what he thought about Sam calling him a "spineless wonder". God I hate Sammy...
He played on Paul Stanley's "Live to Win" as well.
I know the guy who is currently his guitar tech on the tour with Rob Zombie/Manson. I would love to catch the Atlanta show and get a backstage pass, though I am not really a fan of Zombie or Manson, dunno if that will happen.
Yeah he's good, but a little schizo for my liking... Kinda like buckethead for me, amazing in the same way as someone who can knit really fast is.
"It's like a marriage, people move on, things happen." - Michael Anthony on being replaced in Van Halen.
Fuck this stupid show. The whole premise was supposed to be that Sam would ask Mikey questions about VH and he asks one fucking question. I know I'm gonna sound like a dick but watching Adler is like watching the special Olympics.

You, LOL. The truth is, I have been pretty lucky over the past year or so, met some cool people by total coincidence and been invited to do some cool stuff. ALL of which I am very thankful for. I have the potential for more cool stuff coming up but don't want to jinx myself by talking about it too much.
Oh, this shit.MA saying he wouldnt sue for royalties of the reworked songs on ADKOT, like he really brought big ideas or sang or played anything that he wasnt told to. At this point I'd be embarrassed to still be talking about the ex.
For anybody who didn't see the show and wonders if they missed anything - hell fucking no. You didn't miss anything. The show sucked and they didn't get into any "dirt" on VH - which they said they'd get in to. It was a fucking bullshit session and sucked balls.
Eddie Trunk is involved, of course it sucks balls.
Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.
It's kind of a good thing, I don't really want to keep hearing sour grapes bullshit. Take a cue from Roth, stay classy and maybe karma swings back in your direction one day.
I dunno. He has people on the show that I have zero interest in and usually they always say something interesting, I try to keep an open mind. As for Eddie, I am told he is a super cool guy when the camera is off, I am hoping to verify this early next year. It seems to me that TMS is limited every way he turns, by the networks, by the budget, by the guests he can get. He probably has to roll with what he can nail down and hope for the best. Anyone here think he WOULDN'T give his left nut to get Dave, Eddie or anyone else like that? You know he would and he says he asks before they film every season of TMS.

I saw a commercial for this episode Friday, and I could not WAIT to miss it....

John5's playing on Zombie's 'Hellbilly Deluxe 2' is stellar - and he rips it live.
Never seen a single second of TMS, so I can't comment on it - but Haggar's continued insistence that he did anything meaningful or memorable during his tenure in Van Halen is only relevant to the 35-45 soccer moms and yuppie, Hummer-driving nitwits that think they're rocking out when the blast 'Feels So Good.'
My karma just ran over your dogma.
Actually he didn't insist anything of the kind last night. He said the biggest hit Van Halen ever had was Jump, said that every time they played Panama the crowd went crazy and that Ed was an amazing player, but mainly he kept his trap shut about VH, just like he should have done all along. Anthony said he was hurt by the way he found out he was replaced but said that he understood it and was complimentary of Wolfie, all in all I would say it was a decent performance..........too bad they didn't do that from the start.
I find it funny that Sammy cant go anywhere without Mike..everybody that talks to Sammy wants VH qustions answered..how many Chickenfoot questions were there?
the only negative thing Mike said was that they took his image off the album covers when Wolfie joined...and that was a bullshit move and he as right...he also said he did have some input on some of the old demos that were polished up and put on the new album....they asked about going after royalties and he said it wasn't worth it......now how much input he had well never know
No, Donnie - count me as a fellow ignoramus. I did look him up once, though, after reading people on here talk about him, and I saw that he was in Marilyn Manson's band and appeared in a video that was quite entertaining - for a song called 'Mobscene', which to me was memorable for the slab-heavy guitar and the girls cavorting in the oversized cocktail glasses (as below). I remembered that being heavy rotation on MTV in about 2003.
