Yes , I dare say this on a mighty classic Van Halen related site :
Classic Lynyrd Skynyrd were perhaps America's greatest rock band .
All six classic Skynyrd releases were brilliant , all classic Skynyrd songs were real gems
with all musical integrity fully intact , all classic Skynyrd concerts were considered white hot
and everything about them is now of a legendary status .
Yes , all these same compliments fully apply to classic Van Halen as well but I gotta give it to
    Skynyrd on seniority alone .

All that being said , I truly believe that this current lineup of Skynyrd should park their tour bus and call it a day .

Interesting thing about this performance is you'll notice there's only two guitarists.

This was during the short period after Eddie King left the band, but before Steve Gaines joined.

And even though Skynyrd based their entire song structure around those three guitar parts, they managed to make it work with just the two of them. Anybody seeing them for the first time in this performance probably wouldn't even realize they were one cylinder short of their optimum performance. Which is a credit to what a fucking Hell of a band they were, before the plane crash.
