Ed Attends Tremonti Show In Kansas City

    From Blabbermouth.net

EDDIE VAN HALEN Attends TREMONTI Concert In Kansas City - Oct. 4, 2012

VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen was in attendance at last night's (Wednesday, October 3) concert by CREED and ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti at Beaumont Club in Kansas City, Missouri.

VAN HALEN bassist Wolfgang Van Halen made his first appearance as part of Tremonti's solo band last month at a show in Rhode Island. This marks the first time Wolfgang has played with anyone outside of his father Eddie, his uncle Alex and singer David Lee Roth.

After last night's show, Wolfgang tweeted, "So glad my pop got to see the TREMONTI gig tonight in KC!"

Van Halen is replacing Tremonti's bandmate from CREED and ALTER BRIDGE, Brian Marshall, who is sitting out the Tremonti trek for undisclosed personal reasons. The other members of Tremonti's touring band include Eric Friedman on guitar and Garrett Whitlock on drums.

Tremonti is on the road behind his debut solo album, "All I Was", which came out this past July.

I like to pay close attention to the things I'll forget later...

Nice to see Ed looking healthy and recovering nicely from his bowel surgery. No poop bag in sight.

Gotta feel a little sympathy for Wolf, though. Good opportunity for the kid to get out on the road with dudes closer to his age and maybe score some pussy after the show --- and the old man shows up like a doting helicopter parent.

    Can't a kid get a break?

While that would definitely be MY thought process if my dad showed up at a gig I was playing on my first tour without him, I think Wolfgang is closer to his Dad than most. Also cool that Ed is showing support in Wolfgang's latest venture.

Fatherly support is nice, although you have to wonder if Ed dragged Wolf into a corner and whispered --- "You know son, you can't be in two bands".

I don't seem to recall any stories where Jan Van Halen or Dr. Nate Roth showed up backstage after a VH gig to cock-block their sons' hedonistic intentions. Maybe I'm wrong about that.

There's @eddievanhalen watching #Tremonti soundcheck on the far right. So happy he got to see a show. Nobody saw him! twitter.com/WolfVanHalen/s…— Wolfgang Van Halen (@WolfVanHalen) October 4, 2012

I do suspect that mabye for a few days after the operation he needed a shit bag before they could reconnect the two peices of his colon. Anyways, Ed looks REALLY healthy! and I'm glad to see that he's spending the 4 months with his pride and joy: )

That's not always the case. From what I'm told, sometimes they reconnect immediately everything so things will start functioning normally again ASAP.

Yes...I am one of those!! My two favorite bands are The Mighty VH and Foo Fighters. Now that FFs are "taking a break", it's time to get the VH train chugging along again. Happy that Wolf is getting to live on the road in more of a fraternity type setting (although not exactly slumming it) with guys closer to his own age. I think it will continue to make him a more complete musician...kind of earning his stripes more along the old school way. Also, very excited to see Ed back to getting around. Was initially bummed when I saw Wolf's tweet. I thought it might have been the Nashville show (the one before) that Ed attended. I couldn't make it and was bummed to not see Wolf...I was really going to be pissed if Ed had showed. Oh well, let's get VH back on track!!

I noticed Eddie wore his black leather jacket...same as he wore to Dimebags funeral. Makes Eddie look heavy metal. Love it. Love seeing the darker side of Eddie after all the bubblegum shit of the Spam years. Good to see Eddie healthy as he can be considering recent events.

Great to see Ed looking healthy and happy along with Wolf. Hopefully, 2013 wil bring a VH festival to the States and elsewhere. Very cool that he seems to be doing well. Looking forward to the near future!

Interesting... Wolfgang has ventured out musically more and played with others in the last 2-3 years than his dad did in the last 30... Good for him!!

I hope he doesn't become such a popular commodity that he doesn't have time for his ole man's band though...

Great to see Ed out and about, but he's uncomfortably close to that bar in the second pic. Hope Janie was keeping a close eye on him...
