I lasted 54 seconds or so. What's it for? Is it a legitimate demo from a deluded rich twat, or are they remaking 'spinal tap'?

Golly, that's almost as rewarding as hearing the shear chaos that ensues while walking into Guitar Center on a Saturday when all of the kids are out of school for the summer. Notice I said almost.

Other than all the effects, it sounds like a description of Yngwie Malmsteen.

Thanks Jimi. What'd we ever do to you?

Well I decided the clip was edited. Whether that's true or not is a shame. It should be obvious.

Which brings us to the age old question:

Why do really shitty guitar players have egos?

(no, not a joke, an observation)

Another interesting observation is some of the greatest guitar players were actually really shy people.

Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix without a guitar in their hands were quiet and shy.

                        AH, good point Nitro.
I bumped into Allan Holdsworth at a club in New Haven (brilliant show) and found what you said to be true.

I think a lot of these people didn't go out much and pretty much stayed home and played their instrument. Also, they aren't the best verbal communicators. These people would bore you to tears giving a speech behind a podium but get their instrument in their hands and that's a different story. I think most people want to get out more and frankly probably are influenced by others more. You aren't going to be unique trying to copy everyone else or following each trend that comes along. Most often brilliance is born in a lonely back room somewhere while everyone else is trying to outdo each other following this trend and that trend.

Heck. Even David Lee Roth seems to be a recluse when he isn't on stage.

I met Allan as well once back in the 80s. Quiet. Nice guy. Reserved.
