So... does this mean we're about to see "Diamond Dave II", another covers album?

Dave was supposed to be recording with Van Halen, but that didn't sound like Ed & Al.

Guess it's always possible that they recorded enough material in the Diamond Dave sessions a decade ago to make two albums. Though I probably would have went with "Mustang Sally" over some of the others that actually made the cut on that record.

That front hall of Dave's reminds me of when my roomates in college had the bright idea to paint the walls of our apartment black. It looked cool with the tropical artwork of blue oceans, palms, and sand hung on them. The landlord allowed the change on the condition the walls would be repainted back to normal when we left. Whoever was last on the lease must have had fun trying to paint over the black.

That definitely sounds like it was recorded around the time of the Diamond Davd CD. Very similar production vibe to the soul tunes on that disc.

I was wondering the same thing... was that from the Diamond Dave sessions or was it from the 1996 sessions with Edgar Winter that Bad Habits and Ice Cream Man came from on the Diamond Dave record..?

Sounds like the former to me. Could've been recorded the same day as She's Looking Good to these ears.
