This episode was amazing on a few different levels. The Jungle Studs stories were more graspable (?) in this format than in his book. His sense of humor, like his cool, ages like a fine wine and God Dammit, if he didn't also manage to come off like a guy who'd be great around kids! His silly voices and pantomiming are delightful and superbly delivered.

Ok, last night I had too much beer. Now, I'm swimming in coffee. I'll calm down.

I agree the stories sounds way better coming from Dave than reading them,No way you could read a Dave story the way Dave would tell it.Did we not have a few snippets from Dave reading his book around here some time back?

It would be interesting to hear Dave talk about why he's such a minimalist when it comes to musical collaboration. We know his career has been defined mostly with him being a soloist/star of his own right. But his musical inspirations come from such genres such as R&B, Jazz and Blues which the genres themselves are deeply rooted in collaboration and improvisation among musicians.

It seems like with the recording of ADKOT Dave primarily contributed his part separately from Ed, Al & Wolf. A lot of his solo work seems in a similar vein. Is he just more comfortable in this mode or does he just not seem to share those raw moments publicly?

Also why never any guest appearances with other artists nor allowing contemporaries/peers to join him on stage?

Some collaborations would be cool but who ever was with Dave would have a pretty tough job holding peoples attention in a live situation

You guys just don't get it.

His "Please allow me to introduce myself" is from Sympathy for the devil. Which is based on Master and Margarita. In that book there is a devil called Woland that is dressed just like Dave is here (except for the sunglasses), I think he had a helper who had a checked suit. He dressed up as a combination of two characters in that book, and also referred to the song which is written based on that book.
