Love Dave, but damn he looks like a grumpy old man in this pic. I know he's an eccentric genius, but how does he start his morning? "Hmmm... What to wear today? I think I'll go with the Lennox Man overalls again." I don't expect him to wear his outfit from the Yankee Rose vid, but I'd much rather see him in respectable tailored duds than in his Farmer Dave getup again. This is the most we've seen/heard of DLR in five years, and he wears the same shitkickers apparently for weeks on end. I hope he's showering before these interviews...

Dave's greatest strength was that he had no weaknesses! You're a relatively newer fan who's into to his intelligent persona, sex appeal and showmanship. He's still got that going on, so your pretty much covered. Older fans couldn't disagree with you more, however, regarding Dave's vocal abilities. He sang (and screamed) with such a powerful dynamic through out the bulk of his career. Sammy couldn't emulate the record version of RWTD to save his life, yet he's always been touted as the better singer. I personally enjoy Dave's singing and lyrics more than all of the other stuff.

I never thought I would see the day Dave would look like a farmer. In his prime he was the California surfer dude cool times ten. I can remember seeing the surfer dudes with the long blond hair at Newport, Beach. They surfed, got the girls, and seemed to live a vacation styled life that most people only got to do for maybe one or two weeks of the year. Dave was all that and more.

Now Dave looks like he's going to fix a sump pump or something.

I guess I have written this before but I studdied Japanese Sword historically for many years Off and On, much more off ....my main interests were the manufacture of the blades and adornments that make up a Katana or other sword types, and reading of Kanji I believe that is the writing on the swords by the maker.... how to decipher the letters.

Times , maker, personal sayings, blessings, testing of the blades can be written on the tang or hilt of the sword sometimes a sword isn't conidered of great quality unless it is proven on the torso of a cadaver...pretty real stuff back in the ancient days of Samuri.

I am so glad DLR has done this vid I hope he does more on this line or direction.

He has some knowlege other than R&R and I have some interests in that.

Just the simple collecting of specific parts can get money flowing.

Holy shit....He looks so much younger than 58 in the Iaido Training video. I don't fucking get why he believes 58 is the new 80 because he is in much better shape than most men his age.

He also looks A LOT healthier than he did last year, not nearly as skinny as he looked on the ADKOT tour. He seems like he gained more muscle.

I haven't actually watched this episode yet, but unless he made some current remarks that date it, I was thinking the Iaido stuff was filmed around 2007 or so. Can't confirm that - just a hunch.

Looking good for sure! Looks the same as he does in the video where he's walking through his mans. That's all new stuff (in the last year).


His hair is shorter and blonder is all. Highlights makes me look younger too. (Although, I am already a blonde.)
