This article - being from a Murdoch source - didn't mention it, but other articles on the subject detail the fact that the killer's family had been concerned with his recent behavior. The Murdoch article also mentions that the suspect died in police custody, but fails to mention that they used a taser on him, and my guess would be they used it excessively. Probably would have been easier just to trip him with an amp cord.
