          BTW, a good fret guy can just replace a few of the worn frets and do a complete resurface on your American neck, and you're better than new if he does a good job...

            Isn't that called redressing the frets?

            Was thinking about that, too. It's only on the 1st thru 5th frets that need it and I've never played anything past the 12th so all of those are in mint condition.......so you're right!
