Bumped into a kid at our middle school who was wearing the red =VH= football jersey the other day (the one that said VAN HALEN with the numbers 20 on one side and 12 on the other). For some strange reason I didn't see that shirt at the the MN show or I would have bought it - got the chick on the motorcycle one instead. I offered to buy it right off his back for the price he paid at the show, but he wouldn't sell. I upped the offer ten bucks, and he still wouldn't buckle - said it was his dad's and he would kill him if he sold it! I gave the kid extra credit just for being a bad ass.

Yep - not to sound maudlin, but that shirt instantly grabbed me. Seemed to sum up the '12 tour for sure. Liked a lot of the other tee's, but that was the one for this tour without a doubt. After you've been doing this for enough decades, you learn to trust your instinct. Wish I would have seen the football jersey, but the motorcycle one is definitely getting worn to shreds...
