Sadly , Earl Weaver passed away early this morning at the age of 82 .
Earl Weaver was a fierce field general with a brilliant old school baseball mind . Watching him pounce out of the dugout twisting his cap around and giving the umpire his two cents worth was just priceless .
Classic managers like Weaver , Tommy Lasorda , Roger Craig , Billy Martin , Sparky Andersen , and Whitey Herzog certainly could give you your moneys worth .
Respectfully tippin' my old Cardinals cap to the Earl Of Baltimore .
