I still can't believe that Rick's big secret at the end was "they picked the wrong group to mess with". I really thought for a second, he was going to say something totally off the wall, unexpected.

A co-worker of mine gave me a little heads up as to what folks at Terminus are really up to in the comics. I won't blow it, but it does make sense considering some of the scenery. Next season could start off pretty decent, but I'm totally prepared to put this show down for a while. Time to get in to Thrones mode.

You aren't referring to what looked like leftovers of human bodies after butchering that I thought I saw in that fenced/caged area as they were being herded towards those train cars are you?

I only started watching this show a couple weeks ago. Saw some random episodes on the marathon this weekend. It's funny how parts of an episode can be pretty suspenseful, and then you get some schlocky B-movie style dialogue or storyline mixed in. Rick discussing the snare concept was a dead giveaway as to what was to come.

Bingo. So this either goes two directions:

a.) the girl feeding rats to the undead is a clue that they can be placated, so those who setup Terminus have learned to "train" the zombies by feeding them scraps of their new recruits
b.) cannibalism, so now the living and undead will compete for meals

They weren't trying to shoot them, just funnel them into the "snare". Now they'll keep them in the train car and feed them just the right kind of stuff to make them fat and tasty before they eat them.

Vandy/Bridge - if you DVR'd the season finale, go back and pause on the trash that's sitting outside the train car.

Powdered milk. The Termini are feeding the penned up folks milk replacement. Why do that and not just jump them at the outset? Because veal tastes better when it's softened up and fed milk to turn the flesh lighter in color!

Lauren Cohan grew up in England, as did Andrew Lincoln (Rick). It's funny to hear them speak in their real voices on Talking Dead. It's cool how guys like Hugh Laurie (House) and Charlie Hunnam (Jax) from Sons Of Anarchy can pull off the same trick so well.

Watched the last two seasons on DVD recently. Could not get into this show. Although I think Andrew Lincoln is fucking hot and a great actor the plots all seem the same: waste zombies; waste zombies in a prison, waste zombies in a cornfield, waste zombies on a city street - just up and waste zombies with a knife to the eye.

Other than that, decent acting (if you call wasting zombies acting), decent writing, decent editing and pacing. Don't maybe I'll rewatch them again.
