You know how most hardcore Styx fans want Dennis DeYoung to rejoin the band and they gloriously reunite and all of that happy shit? Well, you know what? Dennis is better off without them. Why would he go back and work with the people that stabbed him right in the back and treated him like absolute shit? Tommy Shaw and James Young are two extremley talented guitarists, but they both are guilty of being backstabbers. Tommy Shaw isn't even an original member, but he wanted to take control of the band away from Dennis, and you know what? Be careful what you wish for, because it may come true. Tommy's excuse was that Dennis theatrical prog-rock style was antithetical to Tommy's hard rock style and also he's butthurt because two of Dennis' ballads on the Cornerstone albome "Babe" and "First Time' were released as singles instead of Styx's hard rock material. But listen to "Little Girl World" On Tommy's solo album Girls With Guns which is softer than "Babe" and released as a single. Tommy just wanted to control of the band away from Dennis and then throw him under the bus. Styx still preforms to this day and puts on a very good show, but their entire concert act is nothing more than a giant middle finger to DDY.
