I can't say I've ever thought Dave looked gay even when it appeared he wore some make up and dressed in clothes that were kinda funky. The wardrobe he chose for the Sam and Dave show at Glen Hellen was hideous and not in style for the day. But still not gay in any way. Gaudy? Yes. Imagine what these kids would say about singers from glam bands?
Fuck Ed. Too bad Dave didn't hook up with another guitarist that could write a decent song with him and become bigger than Van Halen. Imagine Ed having to ask Dave if he could play in his band, Dave lets him think he's in, he cuts a couple tracks on his greatest hits album then gets publicly humiliated by Dave saying he was now a dork and sub par guitarist.
Dave has waaaaaaaaay to much class to ever do this.

This song doesn't even fit to the video. The song is like background, lounge music while the video is very strong. Just feels wrong.

Maybe... if you stretch a bit too far. Appeared more to me like someone lacking in the creative department used Dave's California Girls video recipe pretty much verbatim with poor filming, editing, props, actors and dancers. Oh... the song cuntent and vibe doesn't correlate to the visual concepts they plagiarized...

But that's a parody. An obvious one considering that all the "artists" from those videos were there. He gave them credit in that way.

BTW...I like songs like "Diamond Dave" or "Where is David Lee Roth" just for the fact that they give props to the man and what he stood and stands for.
Didn't realize it was a parody. I think it cheapens Daves video cause her version is worse. Especially with that song. But maybe I am exaggerating since I love Dave and I have no idea who she is. If the roles were opposite, I'd still defend Dave :-)
