And, yeah, there's actually a lot of shit on my list. Many of those bands had only songs or just pieces of songs that I really enjoyed at the time. Tesla, Badlands, Bullet Boys and King's X are still in heavy rotation for me. The bulk of the rest was pretty disposable, mostly.

That's right & luckily too, as Sebastian's lack of a proper technique had already pretty much shot his voice by then.

Oh, he still sounded amazing in all songs, but it wasn't the same as the second & much less the first.

    Cheers! :bottle:

My draw to Tesla was that Frank Hannon was a huge Frampton fan. The solo to The Way It Is was an intentional tip of the hat. Always liked that tune.

I have to admit I did like Poison back in the day, but probably only because I thought Bret was hot (still kinda do, minus his bandanas). Still kinda like Motley Crue, Skid Row, some Whitesnake. Now that I've gotten into the heavier stuff I really need to be in the mood for cheese to listen to any of it though. Can still do old Crue but that's about it.

Boy George flat out admitted he was gay - whereas these hacks were still living in their mother's closet. Christ, your generation has a lot to answer for.

Totally. Although Britney Fox were the absolute worst offenders BIG TIME! Not to mention exact Cinderella clones.

Anyways, my list of hair metal bands that rocked....

    Motley Crue
    Ratt
    Great White
    Def Leppard
    Y&T

Nothing wrong with Def Leppard's first two albums. Hell, there was even enough of Pete Willis left on Pyromania to make it listenable. It was all downhill from there though. Mostly because Rick Allen started playing synth drums before he had to.

I definitely would never lump Kings X in with the hair bands. It's bad enough they got pigeon-holed (to some extent) as "Christian rock" which scared off most FM rock stations. And then got dumped by the "Christian" audience once Doug came out of the closet.

Wish some of that early "Sneak Preview" stuff was still on YouTube, but it looks like it's been disappeared, probably out of embarrassment.

This is obviously a cover, but it's probably the oldest recording of them that you're going to find anymore....
