I just bought a 03 Fat Boy with low miles for 5 grand from my nieces hubby. (different niece) On credit. all I have to pay now is shipping from Texas. He has a Sportster he bought for my niece he offered to give me but I'd rather have the big twin.

I like 04' and newer 1200 sporties - the rubber mount and bigger cam makes them nicer than the old shakers
I had an 05' 1200 but sold it to get an 04' - I wanted the 1st yr of rubber mount
I did put Road King air shocks on the rear to lift it ~1 1/2 inches & progressive springs in the forks, it is a 'C' so it is all chrome and with feet out forward pegs - I added mini apes,braided cables and a chrome swing arm, and chrome everything else - and a set of ghost bracket removable saddle bags -S.E. 7k rev limiter, BUB 2-2 dual exhaust, K&N air filter and DJ jet kit
I had it GPS up to 126, 85-100 is the sweet spot on the highway - 105-115 is a bit hairy sometimes, then it smooths out @ 120 again lol!
I have a fork brace I do need to put on - that might help some - that and new rubber
