A day we will never forget
A day we will never forget
Here's to hoping it's not another 22 years for a follow up!
time flies
Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
The 90 second teasers leading up to the release was like a new reason to throw a party every day. Drove around for two hours after buying it and blasted that bastard for all it was worth (and I'm man enough to admit there were a few tears of joy). One of the best days of my middle-aged life!
My karma just ran over your dogma.
Yeah that's a buzzkill.
Sure enough.

Well, that's an excuse to crank it again!
The Power Of The Riff Compels Me
Ha,Ha. That's the way to do it right there. Your daughter is beautiful. Bottoms Up.
It didn't so much come out in a day but dribble out over a week, I bought my first download copy from New Zealand, then got a second from an illegal torrent before finally being able to buy it physically a week later since there are virtually no record stores here anymore.
21st century music distribution is a bit nuts.
It was a good times! Tattoo first then The trouble with never and Blood and fire Downloaded only in England ...I was happy when i saw the physical Cd on my musical shop the 4 th !
brilliant
What wonderful photos Vaijuju !!! Thank you for sharing
Your lovely baby has 1984 T-shirt and you have ADKOT T-shirt, that´s fantastic !!
When I got the CD, I didn't really dig it all that much. I spent way too much time adjusting my equalizer trying to get it to sound right, and never really got to enjoy it.
When I got it on vinyl, it was a completely different story. It was fucking amazing! The very first time I put it on the turntable, it sounded like a Classic Van Halen album is supposed to sound.
After hearing it on wax, it makes the CD sound like some sort of consolation prize you'd give to someone who came in 30th place.
A classic case of how technology doesn't necessarily move in the right direction.
Happy Birthday ADKOT!! (on vinyl)
I have been re-reading a wonderful review of ADKOT from Chile, when it was released.
It gives ADKOT 9.2 points, it says that VH reinvented the way of making Rock´n roll back in the ´70 and highlights that VH begins and ends with David Lee Roth,
it also says that VH with ADKOT are serious candidates to win the title of Best Rock Album of the Year, without any doubts.
Amazing
wired :
Van Halen is a band but no band's interview!
No pic of the band (the last was backstage in 2007 ?)
There are tons of new pictures. Remember the rehersal photographs from The Whiskey, I'm sure there are more.
with all members ? i don't think so !
I'm talking a posed band shot used for publicity - like the one for Rolling Stone when Ed looked like a crackhead.
Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, you're right, they also should of had at least 1 band photo on the album.
That 2007 Rolling Stone photo was a good one. Too bad it wasn't used on the magazine cover at the time.
Here's one hot off the press for the Japan tour.
