There is one thing I notice - this is about the first person I've heard Dave let talk at length without interrupting.

This would actually be the 2nd in the last few days. Someone posted a recent interview on Adam Carolla's show, and the entire rest of the thread was alot of pissing and moaning of how Carolla dominated the conversation.

What Rogan did really wasn't any different...alot of rambling about whatever was on his mind, and Roth getting a sentence or two in edgewise every five minutes or so.

Two things I've become convinced of over the last few days...

1) Dave is just as good of a listener than his reputation would suggest, or people will ever give him credit for.

2) Radio personalities generally live inside of their own asshole.

b) These podcasts are a different format. Doing interviews on TV or radio is about getting your chat into a 5 minute soundbite in between the commercials, news, music and whatever. Podcasts are a much longer medium where you are going to have at least 5 times as much time as that in much longer chunks, there is no panic.


I think it's a bit of both, it's going to take some people around here some time to re-adjust.

Was it not chicks who used to have dicks?

At least a couple of times he qualified it by saying in a sporting context only.

I doubt he'll have a problem since I think in properly regulated, i.e. non fighting sports like the Olympics or whatever, sex is designated by your chromosomes i.e what you were born as, not by whether you have had gender reassignment or not.
