I think ginger ale is actually a british invention. It's also called ginger beer. If you want something good. Mix about a jigger of London distilled dry gin in a glass of ginger ale on ice. squeeze a fresh lemon into it. It's called a gin fizz.

It's the ethanol. Everything else with maybe the exception of the sulfates is good but you can get the same benefit drinking grape juice. I've seen so many people justify their wine and beer drinking saying it's good for you. Even Eddie Van Halen turned to drinking red wine justifying his alcoholism with it's red wine, it's good for you.

The lemon, the ginger ale, and the gin all mesh perfectly. It's a good summer drink. You can play around with the amount of gin and get the mix the way your like it. Some people like more gin. Others like less.

Cod liver oil and Krill oil are good to take each day if you want to help your heart. That's what I take. It also helps your skin. Actually I stopped taking glucosamine because the fish and krill oil have the same affect. Also you get about 1000 IU of vitamin D3. I take the capsules so I don't have to drink the nasty stuff. In capsule form you don't even know you ate fish oil.
