Actually the lubricating oil still comes out of Pennsylvania and Kentucky. It's poor oil to be refined into gasoline. Not all crude oil has the same properties. What is nice about crankcase oil is it can be recycled and used again. They just refine it again and reuse it.Isn't that where the fucking oil comes from in the first place?

synthetic oil was invented because petroleum based oils could not take the heat of turbine engines. It's good oil to use if an engine is really being ran hard like in a race car but it's overkill for a street car. Also, synthetic oils tend to run through old seals so you may get oil leaks where you didn't have any with petroleum based oils.

Oil leaks are caused by deteriorated seals and gasket material regardless of oil type...
IMO, yes. It has it's own interface that's much easier to work with than a reduced version of the website. Give it a try.
