Not as shitty as the average Rolling Stone list, but surely ANY solo by Michael Schenker on UFO's "Strangers in the Night" should've knocked useless shit by Skynrd and Steve Miller of the list, FFS... Pearl Jam's "Evenflow" one of the best wah solos of all time? Really? And will probably get flamed for this, but IMO Kirk Hammett should serve as an example of how NOT to use a wah.. 70s PR0N wacka-wacka in metal tunes, c'mon...

I know I've posted a lot of "classic" Chicago lately, but how the fuck did 25 or 6 to 4 not land in their Top 5 or at very least the Top 10??

Nobody else will probably nominate this, so what the hell ... not metal, but you could accurately describe the last one and a half minutes (from 2m30s-ish) as pedal to the metal guitar work.

'Go Hippy' by Fountains of Wayne.

A nice touch of wah wah there, nice looong solo
