Reminds me of Dave playing the Michigan State Fair in 2003!
Dave's bus broke down on the way to this gig, so they bring in 3 buses for Dave to choose from as a replacement. Dave walks on each bus to give it the sniff test (He hates the smell of cleaning chemicals, as well as other things) and ends up choosing one that Britney Spears had used. I got to go on it. It was a badass bus for sure.
Von I like your stories there pretty cool for sure and am not totally jealous , ok I am your a cunt
fuck your fucking framing
Could you tell us more stories Mr. Von Halen. I sure do like reading them.

The dogs live in the "shelter" and the cats have their room at home, they need a lot of extra care.
As a Dave fan since 1978, I´m very happy with all I get from the band.
I'm pushing 50 but I still have some pictures of Dave from magazines I bought in Brazil back in 1979, and my affiliation to the VH FanClub (my mother payed it back in 1979).
I'm really glad we have internet nowadays, and youtubes and instant news. I've never been in an internet forum before, and it's a joy for me to be able to share with people from all over the world my passion for Dave.
like this onna my faves

Being that they were outside it would have been one hell of a show if Alex would've set that gong on fire!!!
Lots of video here at this link. (Also a great archive of past Dave/VH from the past year.)

Van Halen performed their last US show ‘for awhile’ Wednesday at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles, California, according to frontman David Lee Roth.
“This is our last show for awhile here in the United States,” said Roth during “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love.” “I can’t think of a better place to do it. What a show tonight!”
Concert was fun, but a quickie...no banter from Dave but the ferris wheel did get a shout out, no monologue before ICM, drum solo only lasted long enough to think about getting a beer, and even Ed's solo was cut back by a light year. Dave sounded great, Wolfie rocked it, some kid brought a copy of Frankenstein and the lucky bastard got in signed backstage when Ed had a break...
What cracks me up are the "fans" that go. One chick got beer, not alot, just a little beer spilled on her hair and spent the ENTIRE show with her head in her lap and her fingers in her ears. Her boyfriend rocked his ass off but I sure would not want to be in that car on the way home. She told the dude that spilled it (Yea! A Dodger Fan!) that her hair cost more than his car. WTF?? Another thing...after the show, another chick saw my plates and kept raving what a Dave fan she was but COULD NOT BELIEVE THEY PLAYED A SAMMY SONG! I asked her what song she was talking about. ATBL I told her that was on VH debut album and very much a CVH song, but of course she knows way more than me. OK YOU KEEP THINKIN THAT. My first show was Oakland 81, ATBL closed the show.
My gawd DLR is horrible...

I wonder if Celine Dion is chewing gum while singing...I'm not a fan of CD.... but Dave come on!
I guess I'll archive these even though no one gives a shit...
What's Dave looking for?
She's The Woman
Every time I watch jump and the final bow I want Dave and al to hug it out.
We know they get on from the videos of the three of them doing the history lessons .
Who wants some?
"Everyone knows he is loosing it..show some respect"
Well some honesty there.. ok. I will.
This is as good as it's ever gonna get anymore. A lot of the people here never saw VH back in their heyday so of course they think everything that Dave does is epic. They never saw them when MA was in the band, therefore Wolfie is awesome and it's better with him, ADKOT is better than some of the original 6 albums despite it's sales numbers and lack if radio play. It's like you can only be a fan if you praise them constantly and without question. Don't dare judge them harshly, even though "The Diamond One" dared us to.
Dude, you know damn well that's not the general consensus around here. Dave has been judged harshly more often than not and positive words are meant in an 'all things considered' sense. I don't think I've ever read a post declaring that the band is better off with Wolf. It is often acknowledged that with out Wolf, there'd be no incarnation of the band for us enjoy. And really? The record sales argument holds water for you? It has widely been discussed, on numerous occasions, that the band didn't promote this release nearly as much as they should have and there is the glaring fact that an uncountable sum of people downloaded this CD for zero dollars.
So, praising without question? Really? I beg to differ. The majority would beg to differ, too I'm sure.
Bridge, the album sales argument holds some water but maybe it's a leaky bucket; but as far as radio airplay goes, ADKOT is not being played. I have probably heard songs from all their albums on the radio many times over the last year but nothing from their latest or VH3 so I disagree that it holds up to the first 6. And I have seen posts stating its better with Wolfgang and I have listened to some not so good Youtubes on here that others are wetting their pants too. You can't deny that there's a "if it's Dave it's automatically great" undercurrent here. As much as I like VH, I still see things for what they are.
Corporate consolidation of radio sucks ass. Anybody with functional ears can tell that ADKOT is the best Van HALEN album since Fair Warning, but the suits who want to sell "One Direction (up the ass)" and other such talent devoid shit couldn't care less.
Tell me this doesn't goddamn belong on the radio......
IIRC, one reason why DLR got kicked out of radio was that he was "too intelligent" and he was "making people think". Admittedly, his lyrics are cranial gymnastics at times, so that might be one thing.
(Hell, a couple of my friends have stated, and I quote: "Man, these lyrics don't make any sense. Why can't he write better and more simple lyrics, like Bon Jovi?" Yeah, me too.)
Can't think of anything else at the moment...
Well that might be a valid point about Dave's talk radio morning show. After all, he took over Stern's time slot, and while Howard can be entertaining at times, and he himself is intelligent enough, his style of radio certainly was not designed to be "cerebral" by any means.
But of course I was referring to the absence of the 7th Van Halen album from the airwaves in the US.
Is it getting any airplay at all over there?
I always thought "Stay Frosty" could have some airplay if the acoustic part wasn't on the front. It's basic enough musically.
Oh dear.
Fear Channel owns European radio too?
