Jones was part of a athletic scheme where the players actually just shutted the fuck up and did their talk on the field. Those days are long gone now replaced by endless drama and money rules the game now. Yeah, R.I.P, Jones you were the real deal.
And Tim Tebow is still alive?!?! What a fucked up world we live in!
The Fearsome Foursome were nothing short of awesome, a word much over-used in this day and age. OK, they were not the original FF (the name dates back to a pre-1960s NY Giants lineup) yet still, the name stuck when applied to Rosie Greer, Lamar Lundy, Merlin Olsen and Deacon Jones with the Rams.
This guy was one of the greatest DEs to ever play the game, and simply watching some old game films should send a shiver into today's players.
