I was watching the start of an old Warrant concert last weekend. Was on a Jani Lane kick for a day. Didn't really realize how talented he truly was. Anyways, the drummer had these sticks where the handle ends looked like NERF darts or something. Like they had these 3 or 4 large bright tail feather type grips?? Ever see something like this? I assumed it was to prevent slipping once you start sweating.
All I've ever seen are the lower half taped or some are dipped in like a rubber coating! Never liked them or gloves for that matter! I used gloves there because that was right after my knee surgery and I hadn't really played drums for a few months! At this stage of my life my hands are so calloused that even if I don't play for a few weeks I never get blisters anymore!

(PS - Jani Lane really did have a terrific voice. I always slagged the guy for Cherry Pie, but he was talented. RIP brother)
