I can't imagine losing one of my kids.
The outpouring of support I got in real life from my friends here at The Army when dad passed 4 days after my birthday brought me to tears all over again. There's some really good people here.
Some friends of mine just lost their best friends, a young couple and their 8 month old son yesterday to a freak accident with a overpass falling on their truck. Each day is a gift. And none of us knows what tomorrow brings.

At some point, we all deal with the loss of a loved one or ones... you can never be prepared. It's the most difficult thing in the human experience. Strength comes from finding a way back from that darkness to celebrate life again until your number comes up.
