Adrian Peterson Please Shut The Fuck Up

"Adrian Peterson has his sights on Emmitt Smith's NFL career rushing record and said he expects to break the mark in 2017, even circling a date on the NFL calendar as to when he'll accomplish the feat."

    Ah, sweet memories

Dude, if Pittsburgh doesn't fuck you up, Seattle will. Better renegotiate your overpaid contract before your season ends by the sixth week. Farve already destroyed your career I'm betting on your to fail. So don't let me down. Freak.

So in his first six seasons he has just under 9,000 yards and we are to believe in his next five seasons he is going to get 9,500 yards? Yeah Ok. The guy is in the second half of his career, and as a running back, aging rapidly and has a repaired knee. This guy is a great back but to keep up the level it will take to pass Emmitt is not likely. I remember a good buddy who was a Colts fan telling me how Marvin Harrison was ON PAR to break all of Jerry Rice's records and I just laughed. It is not about what type of numbers you are putting up now, but what type of numbers you can continue to put up year after year as you put miles on those wheels.

This can also be the Geno Smith please shut the fuck up thread. He said today that he wanted to be like Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan, probably the best basketball player to ever live who has six rings. I bet Matt Barkley of the Eagles wants to be like Wayne Gretzky. Maybe Geno should play a down in the NFL before he allows everyone on the planet to know how stupid he is.

He'll never be like like Barry Sanders. Thanks for playing.

He very well could be, but we are going to have to wait a few more years and see if he can keep up the domination. Gale Sayers and Bo Jackson could have been right up there as well if not for there injuries. If I had to name the top three it would be Walter Payton, Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith, in that order.

I agree with you. How about Bo...

To think that he was put down by a simple thing that nowadays would be caught by the first MRI. He was a beast.

For me, I like backs who have speed and power. Cant think of two better than Bo and All Day. Barry was amazing, but he wasn't in the same league as these two when it comes to power. They are much much closer to Barry in terms of speed (probably both faster) but Barry was more elusive.

Look at the range of perormance here. Just amazing

ESPN did a great documentary on Bo and how insane some of the physical feats he did away from the field were.
It is insane to think with an artificial hip the man played MLB at a high level. May be the best pure athlete ever.
