This was before wireless units ever existed, so you can imagine the chaotic catastrophe that was just waiting to happen.

And to this day, I am convinced the only reason Edward Van Halen ever thought of playing "You Really Got Me" was because it was included on a medley toward the end of the Derringer Live album. These guys, along with the Edgar Winter Group (Derringer played with 'em as well, along with producing Johnny Winter's best and most astonishing album Still Alive And Well, the title track of course, written by Derringer) were a gigantic influence on VH. In fact, the band used to cover a handful of tunes from Winter's They Only Come Out At Night album. Fuck, DLR hired Edgar Winter to play on his version of "Easy Street" on that Crazy From The Heat EP.
