I think Russia Today allows air time to people who expose the banking oligarch collusion and fraud because it was these same people who came into Russia and fleeced it. The average russian has been through more crap than the average american could possibly imagine. They take pride in it too. Putin grew up in Leningrad. His family survived the german siege of the city. Read up on it. It was horrid. Believe me, they just view this whole Ukraine business as another challenge. Nothing more. Another thing is russians band together and unify if someone fucks with them. You may notice orange and black ribbons being worn. They are the WWII victory ribbons. They know the US has been sponsoring false flags in the ukraine and trying to pull russia into a war. They know the EU and the US have a combined debt of $30 trillion and the petro-dollar is doomed. They just have to run the clock out. Once the petro-dollar is finished the US has no money to finance it's war machine with.

It's all about the petro-dollar. The US could care less about the Ukrainian people and the russians know this. Russia is a major player in the BRICS consortum that no longer trade in the US dollar and russia doesn't need OPEC oil. This is all about who DOMINATES. Simple as that.

I for one would like a military strong enough to defend the home front and to stay out of other countries affairs and stop supporting this corporate empire that benefits the average american very little. It's about the so called 1% dominating the world while our standard of living goes to shit here. The US has traded domestic manufacturing for a war and oil economy. Nobody wants to really end war here because too many jobs are dependent on it but it hasn't bettered our standard of living. Just think of what we could do at home with the money we waste on our military. We bailed out the bankers and has it improved the economy?

Why would Putin want to invade the Ukraine? It's a basket case. Conquering it would drag on the russian economy and bring little in. Putin is no dummy. He took over a broke nation, kicked the oligarchs out, paid off the debt, and now they have a surplus and long-term development plans. Instead of conquering the chinese model of becoming the best partner tends to work better. The Ukraine has agricultural goods to sell so become the main customer. That way you get the assets without getting stuck with trying to run the basket case.

It's more about US and EU meddling because they want to take russia down because it's a long-term economic threat to the western corporate empire scheme.

Another thing. Failed politicians love to take a country to war because it becomes a distraction for the people. It's like throwing a stick to distract an angry dog coming after you. Bankers also love war. They make money and have a bad habit of financing both sides. The average citizen in any of the NATO participating countries have nothing to gain in a war with russia. Here's the reality check. Borders eventually shift along cultural and language lines. The Crimea was eventually going to go back to mother Russia. Well. It's because the money was wasted on the military industrial complex and it really doesn't have much to show for the money spent. People's misery has been the result of the government in Washington DC more than it has been the result of the government in Moscow, Russia.

The politicians in Washington need a distraction. NATO needs an excuse to continue to exist. My question is where do they get the money when the world isolates us and refuses to use our dollar?
