    Pearl Jam covers "Eruption", "ATBL".

Not really a Pearl Jam fan, but when this showed up in my newsfeed today I chuckled...

For Eruption, unless the person playing it is very detail oriented it's going to fall way short since the original version is a home run on so many levels.

I don't really care about the musical technicality ---- I say "HURRAH" because Pearl Jam is one of the few older bands that maintain a loyal following with the younger folks --- have to give them mad respect for teaching kids that VH is still relevant and needs to be passed on to the new generations.

Just remember ---- 25 years from now some band is gonna be playing Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj songs and trying to teach that generation about the "good music" that influenced them. Weep for THAT future, because I pray I'm dead by that time.

Well, I think we can all say that we've heard much, much worse renditions... It's not bad...

Then again, who the hell am I critiquing the fuckin' thing when I can't play a note, LOL.....

Bottom line - It just doesn't sound the same when anyone other than Edward Lodewijk is playing it....

Pretty sure this has been floating around for a few years. I say bravo! PJ, and specifically Mike McCready are CVH fans.. Gotta respect that. Also note that the audience is totally on board with it as well. Good for them!

Not perfect, but I think he really nails the second and final solo...

One of the criticisms I heard of the Buffalo show was the huge amount of newer material over the classic. But I think they are good enough that I'd overlook that. They seem to bring it every night...

I liked the Dave specific "tribute" via a kick around 6:20. Crowd went wild for those songs!

I've seen PJ at least once on every tour since 1993.. Looking back I figure I've seen them at least 30 times. Highlights have been MSG & Seattle.. Great live band. They really mix it up. If VH mixed it up half as much it would be incredible.
