    5150 replica

    So Von finally dropped off his guitar. In the next few day I will take it apart and sand it smooth. I will post pictures of the process as it happens.

    I don't know why the picture is sideways but it only happens when I try and post. It. I didn't take it like that.

          Yes, it is. That's exactly how it was when I got it. Not bad for that cheap. It's going to be more of a prop for the dune buggy, and conversational piece, so I don't care how good it sounds or plays.

                      With a locking nut the tuners don't matter all that much, right?... and I think Von will be swapping out that PU with the EVH Frankenstein one... that should be a nice, cheap guitar by the time it's all done.

                          My franky was one of those cheap guitars but now it plays great. Von's guitar is pretty good. I tuned it and set it up to see how well it plays and to get an idea of how it's should be set up again. It actually plays pretty good

                                              Thanks. It's not that hard to do actually. The striping and first black/white relicing layer took like 6 hours to do. The rest of te relicing I have done here and there as I see nicks and dents that I have missed.
