Total bummer. Groundhog Day was a work of genius.

Pretty much everything this guy was involved with was amazing.

If you have a chance, catch the behind the scenes documentary that's been floating around re: the making of Animal House. These improv folks from Second City, etc. have revolutionized comedy I think. This guy was just plain great.

I never realized he would be that age 6 years older than Bill Murray, it must be scary when you get to the age when they don't widely even mention what killed you.

Stripes and Groundhog Day were very special...

Looking through his body of work not many turkeys there at all especially for someone working in comedy.

Agreed. I knew he was great but was still amazed seeing his resume' today. Sadly missed. So the next ghostbusters is prob officially off for good.

RIP and thanks for the great laughs and one liners.

My fav part of that movie was Bill learning the piano. Genius move.

I'm sorry to hear of Harold Ramis' passing, and I agree with the above posts about his spectacular work in comedy.

I remember Harold playing Moe Green, general station manager of SCTV. (SCTV the TV show). The episode where Moe was "kidnapped" was hilarious!

Teacher: have you ever played the piano before?

Bill: no, but my father was a piano mover, so...
