They're trying to pass a law here that makes it mandatory for doctors to take drug tests. Seems kind of ridiculous a janitor might have to submit to regular drug testing but doctors don't.

You weed enthusiasts need to be reminded... it's illegal still at a federal level. We live not only in a global economy, but most companies with employees across the US will not change their policies on drug use for employees in states where weed is legal either medically or for recreational use.

Why would any legitimate employer want to hire or retain employees performing their job impaired by drug usage..?

Hey, people should not be fired for doing drugs in their off time that do not impair them at work.

I do not smoke nearly as much pot as I did in my early days, but I do not smoke until long after I am gone from the slavepit.

Even if I only took one or two hits a week, it would stay in my system. I mean, one hit, and after a couple of hours I am straight again. So if I take a hit on Friday night, how in the fuck is that going to impact my job performance on Monday morning?
