Wow. You're right on both counts. Cheesy as fuck and indeed, a great line at 1:25ish.
Being the father of two young girls, I can honestly say that this rocks NOT as hard as what I've heard on the Hanna Montana soundtrack. This guy is from the school of Nickelback. In fact, that band did a similar, cheesy rock anthem or two.

Most ironic thing about it.... the song is titled "Long Live Rock n Roll" and is filled with (mostly) classic rock references in the lyrics.
Yet the song itself is probably closer to modern Nashville establishment country than it is rock and roll.
Makes about as much sense as Don Felder & Don Henley of the Eagles doing a song called "Heavy Metal", I guess?
