Here's a cool little gem between ALAE and YFLM.

I need a drink
This definitely sounds like ALAE type stuff, almost Skyscraperish.
When I hear this stuff I wonder a couple things.
What would have been like if Dave released more albums and they were as good as DLRBand which I want to listen to again here. I love that CD.
And of course, imagine if VH recorded all their albums like Van Halen One and Fair Warning but released one every year or two since 78 with the original lineup. I think they would be bigger than Beatles considering how big they have been already.
When you think of Van Halen you think of David Lee Roth.
This song sucks.

Sounds like it never got past the demo stage. Or at least I hope those weren't Dave's final lyrics.

There's some cool parts to it.... I think this was recorded between ALAE and YFLM....
I like it. It's better than Lonesome Heart Cafe fo sho.
My karma just ran over your dogma.
Apparently you haven't seen the No Holds BBQ?
There are songs on there that are far worse.
As far as Cheatin Heart Cafe goes..... I think Dave must have been really drunk and decided to do a country song. Because the only time country songs make sense is when you're drunk.
Furthermore, he was so drunk that he thought he was working with Mike Sobolewski again
..... gotta admit, they could pass for brothers.
The guitar on this song reminds me of a more simple version of Vai's chicken pickin' in Goin' Crazy. The chorus reminds me of Find Your Way Back by Jefferson Starship. I don't see how this song could've evolved into anything better than it is. Just a bland, go nowhere, repetitive piece of blah.
Yeah, I've seen it about a gazillion times. I had to check all of the ones I distributed, before I mailed em out. I kinda like all the stuff on the BBQ vid. But damn is it repetitious. I should have included a baggie of blow with every DVD. You kinda need it to get through the damn thing. I still enjoy popping it in from time to time though.
