Had a question..been googling all day for info.I wanna buy this neck (see pic).I wanna install my own fretboad and frets with led lights too.I bought leds. But my question is : Whats the best fret calculator..I see different ones..even software that calculates it.And is it a fucking difficult thing to do?I never made a neck but now I'll be making half of it.(Only fretboard and frets + shaping head etc.)
BTW thats my status bass I bought last year on dutch ebay not a scratch on it.
Roth on!
Fuck it..I'm gonna do this to save me money: LOL Hope it works..gonna use the schecter Elvis!LOL Was nice neck but it needs some sanding off .Neck is to thick for my playing.Know a wooddealer with fretboard wood and gonna install leds and fretwire. At least I'll learn something I hope.
What kind of glue was holding that fretboard on ??
It looked like a transparent glue...but I'm not 100%.
I got medium jumbo frets now..got 25,5 scale fretboard(same as the schecter).I'm gonna use flat radius cause I tap alot and my parker feels pretty flat too and i like that neck.Gonna sand a lil off the back cause the schecter was to thick for me.
Here is where i am now.
Hope to get the frets in today.I have golden madrone veneer which i will paint green with a special coloured transparent INK.
Once it's on there will be nitro paintjob only on the head. There will be no fret inlays.I like that look.
Will post more pics when it's done.
Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
