I know of a CPA firm in New Jersey that only has 20 clients for the whole firm. They defer the taxes for very rich individuals. Basically the legal game is kicking the can down the road but then of course nobody pays. It's all a play on words. They prefer "deferred" because it sounds better than "avoiding".
You become a CPA and then you go to law school and if you are good enough, you make a lot of money off a handful of clients. The thing is, you do have to have a strong stomach and you play it down to the wire. One little change in the political environment might turn the tide against you.
