This is the first proper concrete actual news about Star Wars Episode VII since it was announced that Disney had bought it and were producing new movies.
Most importantly though, the main character is going to be played by ace John Boyega from Attack the Block:
There’s also Max von Sydow, aka Ming the Merciless from Flash Gordon, and Oscar Isaac, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for his lead role in last year’s Inside Llewyn Davis.
Meanwhile there’s slightly more dismal news for Star Wars fans of the lady persuasion as of the seven new cast members, just ONE is a woman.
She’s the rather mysterious Daisy Ridley, late of Mr Selfridge and Toast of London:
The internet in general could be said to be “WELL EXCITED” by this news and the fact that this thing is actually happening
Star Wars Episode VII already has a release date of the 18th December 2015.
