I recorded almost 3 hours of the David Lee Roth Van Halen tribute band Fan Halen with my Cybershot and Tascam audio recorder. The quality is pretty good and I
hope old school Van Halen fans enjoy it.

I'm not sure if you really want to see any of his videos. They're quite disturbing.
Just a 3-toothed hick sitting in the middle of a swamp playing a banjo with only 2 strings on it, and the most disturbing part is toward the end when he says "I want y'all to meet muh wife an' muh sister" and there's only one girl standing there.

He's very frustrated because he's been a bedroom guitarist for a long time.
The example I always give is about 6 years ago I was watching a covers band and the very competent guitarist do 'For the love of god'.

When it got to the most difficult bit of the solo and guy ducked it somewhat I found myself turning and saying 'hah I fucking knew he couldn't do that bit.'

At that point I realised my frustration at not playing had turned me into a dickhead. Also when you don't play live for a while you completely forget all the realities of live performance, onstage sound issues, distractions, how much more difficult it is to do the bedroom guitarist thing live - to perform.

Since then I got a band back together released music played gigs and I find myself almost always applauding and taking something from any live performance.

I like to think that if ELVIS ever got off his ass he might sort himself out too.

Band sounds great...but I have never gotten the whole " Tribute" band thing..I dont want to see anyone dress and act like Van Halen except Van Halen..I would honestly appreciate it more if you guys just jammed out on the tunes without the act.
