    Manifesto
    KRAPPY GUITARS--Krapmeister Kevin Siebold
relays the philosophy that guides our efforts:

Our instruments are built for frugal people
who aren't very concerned with regard to
    quality, construction, materials, or safety.

The instruments are crafted from whatever
we find suitable. Pedigree of wood is not
a priority for us. We might get it from
a local hardware store, or use some old
shipping crates, or skids. Who knows??!!

If you are intrigued enough to purchase,
we will provide you with a complete history
for your instrument. The history might be
    akin to this:

Wood: leftover 2x4 from a construction site.
Strings: used about 3 years ago on an old guitar.
Pickups: some buncha crap we snagged from some guy.
Electronics: whatever we can scrounge up!

Our warranty: There is no warranty, expressed or
implied. We fully acknowledge our product is crap, and
your purchase signifies that you have entered into an
agreement to buy a product that is lacking in quality,
contains poor materials, and is worthy of much abuse
and destruction. We will in no way provide any
customer service, so don't even waste your time!!!

Instruments are even "Green" to boot!

    Krapmeister Kevin Siebold
explains how these instruments are GREEN:

instruments are built from as many pieces
of rescued wood as possible--some from
dumpsters, construction sites, and kind friends.

why rescued wood? because i am a tree hugger?
i tell you no--it is because i am a CHEAPSKATE.
being a 2-birds-with-one-stone kind of guy,
if i can get some wood deemed useless to someone
else, yet useful to me, SCORE for the krapmeister!

if it helps you to know that i only eat free-range
chicken, and organic foods grown by local farmers...
or that your opinion of me would be higher if you knew
that all the machines in the shop are rigged for solar...
i can not offer you that.

God made the world, and all that is in it,
and has given mankind the stewardship over it.
eventually, God will destroy everything here with fire.
i take my mandate to stewardship very seriously,
    but in full understanding
that the form of this world is passing away.

Friend of mine is a luthier.

He discovered yesterday that on their Squier basses, Fender only uses two real screws to hold each of the tuning machines on. The other two holes have a screw head with just enough thread to catch the metal flange and look like a real screw.
But there is not enough thread to even screw into the wood.

Sorry just checked, you're right it was made in South Korea.

I remember almost not buying it because of where it was made.

Koreans make some of the best guitars I've seen and played...

They're like natural Luthiers, or some shit...

The Chinese can't make shit out of wood...

I have one of the cheap Korean Peavey Wolfgangs and it's really nice to play.

I like having a few guitars that sound and play fine that I don't need to worry about gigging.

    thats racist

Company that makes the Revs is Mirr Music Co. A family company with 40 years of guitar building experience. They know what they're doing and they are experienced at doing it

Not all surprising that Koreans are making better guitars than the Chinese, considering their electronics (LG/Samsung/etc.) are usually superior to the Chinese crap. And they have some of the fastest internet on the planet. So they seem to be doing some things right there, at least on the technology perspective.

Politically though, it's sort of right wing, and there's too many Moonies, so it's not exactly paradise. And suddenly I have a craving for Kimchee and Bulgogi.
