Monday, I went out to meet a guy I'd met on the internet. We met up in a cool little bar with a beer can museum, bordering on dumpy, but with a lot of cool beers on tap. I ordered an unfiltered wheat which turned out to suck.

So we're sitting there talking about various shit, and I ask him if he lives alone. He looks at me like I have two heads. He says "Didn't you read my profile?" And I said, no, cause I'm not a member of the site and I can only read the emails that come in.

Silence. "So is it going to be a problem that I'm married?"

Well shit. I am not an innocent person, I have been involved with a married man before and learned my lesson. No matter what anybody says, it's a betrayal and SOMEBODY is going to get hurt, more likely everybody involved. I had hoped to move past that in my life and try and be a better person.

The people who agreed to the marriage contract. When you get married you enter a legal agreement enforced by the state. It usually means your spouse gets half your gross assets and you are responsible for providing for the children that resulted from the union if you break the agreement. Then you also have the personal choice if you wish to enter into marriage vows that are written by the religion of your choice or you even can make up your own vows.

The point is, if you make a promise or a vow, you are obligated. If you break promises or vows, you basically are a deceiver and have demonstrated you can't be trusted. Nobody in their right mind is going to want to enter a relationship with you.
