I had my eye on XenForo since last summer. Then my Mom got sick and all that research, etc... went out the window. After she passed, I started studying again and seriously starting toying with the idea. Even got a demo XenForo a few times. A couple of months ago I said to myself "Go for it".

I feel like I did when I first got a MAC. Never going back to Windows. Same thing. Never going back to vBull(shit).

                  Yes.

But, just like anything else depends on the amount of hacks and the coding of them.

I'm sure if you stuff a XenForo site with many hacks that aren't coded efficiently it'll cough.

That's a simple question with a very complicated answer...

That would depend on the size and complexity of your database... if it's clean and well indexed. But a bigger factor is your hosting IMO... shared server or dedicated server makes a huge difference plus what level of network bandwidth you're purchasing... if you have the traffic to even consider a higher than regular tier.

From what I've read xenfro is very well coded and has a pretty robust database engine compared to vBulletin. As far as off the shelf add-ons and the ability to customize it... I'm not sure I like it's admin interface any better. From a cost and performance basis I still find phpBB a better option...

                        It's not that complicated.

I didn't say 'is it faster?' I asked Bob if he found it faster.

I'm sure the database here is far far bigger but no harm in asking.
