Why on Earth would a 9 year old girl need to know what shooting an Uzi feels like? What a horrible, yet avoidable acccident.

Forgive my lack of tact.
Darwin Award for 2014, we have a winner!!
Ding Ding Ding went the trolley,
The parents force it upon their children, same as a 9 year old girl protesting at Occupy Wall Street, or a KKK rally, or supporting Cliven Bundy. This was a freak accident. Never heard of this happening before. I was shooting guns at 9 years old, used an Uzi probably at 11. I'm not the exception, there were millions of kids.
Oh Canada...thank you Brits and Canadian colonists for winning 1812

Craziness.
Kids should learn Karate. Parents should learn to shoot.
I can only imagine the kick back on an Uzi. What 9 year old girl has developed the arm and back strength to handle the recoil of such a thing? Not my kid.
I also read the guy was beside her. The instructors should be standing directly behind the student, no?
If only there was a good nine year-old with a gun this wouldn't have happened.

Oh golly! Thanks Nick!
Yes, another misogynistic, sexist post brought to you by Nick.
Yes Nick, the man who loves Wiki more than his Coca-Cola.
Oh go back to humping parked car bumpers, Nick. Or does Wiki have no page for that?
Would you be happy if she was playing with Barbie and learning recipes?
Just to take the sexist accusations out of it... a 9 year old BOY really has no business firing an UZI either.

Really? I learned to shoot when I was eight. Granted, an UZI is not a practical choice for a kid but seeing how America just loves its fucking guns why should this come as a surprise?
I haven't checked. Maybe you can write one but that seems rather frustrating...
Well, she wouldn't have killed anyone then, would she? Why not teach her how to use a rocket launcher, a 12-gauge shotgun, or claymore mines! That would surly be feminist!Would you be happy if she was playing with Barbie and learning recipes?
BTW, I don't often drink Coke or own Nikes, shitheads...
Even more sexist shit. Why not place the blame on the idiot who put the god damn gun in her hands knowing she could not handle the weapon? Oh right, is he too male for you, Nick? Quit pigeonholing your stupid argument simply because she was a "girl" you fucking moron.
No, you did not, asshole.
..."A 9 year old girl has no business...
Now if this was a nine year-old boy I sure your attitude would be much different.
Kris-ty, that avatar is hideous.
Considering the same thing happened a few years ago you'd think people would learn.

That idiot should have both his kid AND his guns taken away from him, without question. He should also be charged with the instructor's death. Probably manslaughter or negligent homicde though. Don't see a murder case here. Can't really charge the kid with anything. She was just being a kid.... trying to handle a weapon that she had no business trying to control.
The guy was an INSTRUCTOR! He should have INSTRUCTED her on how to hold, and handle the gun, properly. He chose to short cut the training process, and paid the ultimate price.
Guns don't kill people. 9 year old girls do.

I disagree. The parent or parents are idiots but the instructor should have known better. He was suppost to be the one with knowledge of gun handling. He should have known that was too much gun for a child. If there's not a law against children under a cetain age handling firearms of any kind there should be.
It wasn't too much gun for her Cadaverdouche, if she had been properly INSTRUCTED by the INSTRUCTOR! Quit being a wishy washy pussy.
Wishy washy my ass. It could use a good scrubbing about now. I'm all for the right to bear arms but nobody needs to teach a 9 year old how to handle an Uzi. I'm assuming you're being sarcastic otherwise I'd tell you to go see a doctor because you've obviously bumped your head one time too many.

If you missed this in the other post read it. This happened before but the kid shot himself instead of the instructor. The fact that it happened again just two years later just goes to show how stupid some people are.
I am not being sarcastic. That guy was an INSTRUCTOR. Just because you or I wouldn't put an Uzi in an 9 year old girls hands, doesn't mean said 9 year old couldn't handle the gun, if properly INSTRUCTED.
Instruction might not be able to overcome the laws of physics. Some 9 year old girls are really tiny. The recoil of a handgun might be a bit much for them, let alone a fully auto assault rifle. And after seeing the video at the NBC site, this kid looks like she fit that description. Skinny little kid who would probably get knocked over by an Arizona monsoon.
"Bizilj said he then saw Christopher on the ground and ran to him. He said his son's eyes were open, but he did not respond. When he reached to pick him up, Bizilj said he saw part of the boy's skull was missing."
Yeah, that should have put an end to allowing parents to be so stupid as to let a kid fire an automatic weapon. Kids that age can't manage to hold a garden hose very well.
