I actually took this pic at that Lansing show in 2003.

Same outfit he wore at Speed Streets here in Charlotte. Last band to perform for the whole week. And during Jump, the fireworks are going off above downtown Charlotte. Best part about the show? I was on a first date with a chick and my ex wife had moved out for good that morning. It did rain throughout almost the whole show, but it was a great show. And when I came home at maybe 4 in the morning with a new chick, there was no Beast in the house.

Horseshit. I wear 14s and I have no problem finding socks. You have to buy the extra large ones for size 12 and over. They're a little more expensive but they're not hard to find.

All gayness aside here, listening to Soul Kitchen again reminds me of how good Dave can sound when he stays in his range. However, the Door's keyboards started getting on my nerves so bad I finally had to delete them from my Mp3 player after two of their songs came up in a row and even worse when I have to listen to imitations backing Dave. I admit Ray Manzarick (or however you spell his name) was extremely talented, but those sounds are right up there with listening to an accordian on rock music... doesn't add up... and how anyone made it through one of their concerts without deepthroating the barrel of a gun I don't know. Jim himself was probably tired of those sounds when he OD'd in that bathtub.

I thought Dave butchered that song and the other one I posted. I'm not a big keyboard fan either but that's the Doors signature sound. The Doors are like the Grateful Dead. You either love them or hate them.
