SAMMY HAGAR Cancels Annual Cabo Birthday Bash

Sammy Hagar, the Hall Of Fame rocker and founder of the famed Cabo Wabo Cantina has made the difficult decision to cancel his annual Birthday Bash in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, due to Hurricane Odile’s destruction of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula.

Says Sammy: “This year marks our 25th anniversary so nothing short of a massive hurricane could have kept me from Cabo. But after seeing the damage that Odile’s caused to Los Cabos’ airport, resorts and town, it’s with an incredibly heavy heart that we’ve come to that decision. Our prayers and best wishes are with our Cabo Wabo family and everyone that’s been affected by this storm. Los Cabos will recover better and stronger than before because of its incredibly strong community.”

Hagar adds: “Wow unbelievable. The Cantina is fine just a little water damage - it's unbelievable that none of our employees or anyone we know has been hurt so far - a real miracle. If there are any Redheads down there please report to us any info - hope everyone is safe! No one was hurt but my house got tore up pretty good. My caretaker took this picture as the hurricane was approaching wow!! It went directly over my house and blew the windows out.”

I contracted an international company to work in Hawaii with me for 5 months. They sent me their best team. I chatted with one guy very frequently. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service. Thank you Sir! I had a lot of respect for him. He took up a new career because he was young. Then he started telling me that he and his wife travel to Cabo San Lucas every year for the big Cabo wabo party. RUFKM? I didn't know what to say. I could have fired him, but that wouldn't be right.
