The kid isn't facing jail time for blasphemy he's facing jail time for "desecration of a venerated object".
The crime is a misdemeanor and involves “defacing, damaging, polluting or otherwise, physically mistreating in a way that the actor knows will outrage the sensibilities of persons likely to observe or discover the action”.
I don't think that should be a crime but I wouldn't call it a crime if someone would have caught the little bastard and slapped the shit out of him either. There's no law that says atheists can't respect other people beliefs but some of them act like there is.Beware of DogComment
