    Sammy Hagar - Unchedded??

"I realize that when I played my songs acoustically it made me sing different. It brought a new light to the lyrics that I'd written throughout my career," says Sammy Hagar. For the first time in his career, Sammy Hagar releases an acoustic album of some of his well-known songs. Featuring 11 tracks, Sammy is joined by long time band guitarist of the "Waboritas," Vic Johnson, on guitar and vocals. "It's very live, very personal with Vic accompanying me on guitar and singing background vocals. No overdubs...I think that my hardcore fans are really going to love it."

Well, it doesn't look like ol' Slappy has gone into the coffee bidness, not exactly. He is however apparently all into growing and roasting his own joe when he's in Hawaii. And apparently his former liquor brand did launch a coffee flavored tequila late last year. So maybe that's why he's all into growing coffee, making coffee, drankin coffee, and of course singing about coffee. Because, nothing says rock and roll like a song about coffee. Or breakfast. Or aliens. Or whatever wacked out hobby he's in to at the moment.

Now, as far as the coffee flavored tequila goes, I'd give it a shot. All tequila sucks ass so it would have to be an improvement over the regular stuff.

Sammy wouldn't be talking about coffee so much if he wasn't planning on making money from it eventually. Hell, I'm surprised he's not pushing pineapples, if he owns his own plantation in Hawaii. Possibly trying to reformulate a Pina Coloda recipe that uses tequila rather than rum?

Well, at least it's not a reference to his junk, his wife's vagina or aliens, which seems to be where he gets most of his material.

What? No acoustic version of Up For Breakfast? I hear the coffee comes from an alien vagina bush that Juan Valdez was into.

Tequila is over priced yuppie shit. Real people drink mezcal with twigs and dirt in it. I've only seen God once and that was while blitzed out of my mind on cheap rot gut mezcal. I think the stuff was called El Cortjio or some shit like that. Had a picture of some scary Mayan demon on the label.

Mezcal El Cortijo. Label is a Freaky Friday Valentine. Man with pig nose ripping heart out of dowdy puritan lady.

Nah, more than likely this will turn out to be one of those ghastly soft-rock albums you can only purchase while visiting a Starbucks. Yet another reason to steer clear of one.

It was ghastly soft rock before. What's it going to sound like without the Van Halens and electric guitar?

So now Spammy, at the age 185 has joined the youthful coffee sucking crowd of acousticism has he? The only upshot i can see here is that F A T Spammy has finally admitted to himself that his Agave poison tequila is absolute shit. That, or he is going all Ted Nugent and eying younger women at corporate coffee shops. One of the two.

I've been laughing at the title of this thread and those ridiculous lyrics for about 15 minutes now. I mean come on now, had Edward gone deaf in 1985? Sammy Hagar's lyrics flying under the Van Halen flag is such a supreme insult to David. God.

Next Sammy will write a Christmas album. He will sing about yule logs pumping egg nog and a pretty angel on top of a long stiff tree. Personal Jesus was born to pull the trigger and heal ya baby! God busted Mary's cherry not Joseph or uncle Larry.

All the coffee references and nobody notices a black man on the cover of the album??

He is clearly aiming at the interracial homosexual market.
