Where is all the HD video of the first and second tours?

I think some of the fastest sprints I ever ran were across the venue floor and to the barricade at concerts. Got to be up front. We would camp out for hours like the idiots do now for Black Friday.

Indeed. Back in the day of festival seating! If you were planning to be up front for any length of time it was imperative that your position be chest to chain-link. This sometimes involved an uncompromising frame of mind, so to speak.
There is one particular Day on the Green in Oakland that I remember most vividly. Not for any particular band or performance, but for the fact that I was one of the first five to reach the lawn and charge for the barrier, which turned out to be an 8' tall solid plywood wall. We all looked at each other in shock and disbelief, as we struggled to catch our breath, each of us, I'm certain, considering how to best remove it. I know I was.

Being short was an advantage. I just went under people's raised arms to get up front...and I was almost always.up front.

I BLEW it for the Fair Warning tour though. Was up front, centre stage...and I fainted. The security team helped me over the fence, and I panicked and ran for the sidelines...FUCK. They had grabbed chairs for me and my boyfriend to sit INSIDE THE BARRIER. Sigh... one of life's "could've been" moments.

Just because a show was filmed, that doesn't necessarily mean the guys in the band have copies of it. Why would they? Think about it like this: How many times have you looked back on your life and thought, "Man, I wish I had pictures of that!" These guys were living it and as far as what we've heard - they weren't documenting it AND keeping all of the footage. The "keeping it" is the important part.

We know that Ed has some footage. If he didn't, he wouldn't have hired a dude to try and organize it for a possible release that never materialized. And I'm sure Dave has some stuff too. Mikey has said he does too. Al - well, he probably sold his to cover alimony payments.

The guys here can list every show that it's known that a video camera was present. Yay. That means jack shit unless the band all had copies of the footage from all those shows. And I know some dumbass is gonna say "the band kept all the footage!!" Yeah, right.

The truth is probably this: Each member of the band probably has some video laying around. Hell, Dave still has the Davesickle(sic) locked up in an undisclosed location (yes, he still owns it). But the chances that these guys are sitting on more than a couple pro shot pieces of video are pretty slim.

But who knows. I'm probably wrong. There's probably a stack 37 feet high of pro shot video in Ed's garage right now. Soundboard quality audio, too. Just laying around, waiting to be discovered. And if you believe that...

I can't remember the guy's name...one of the fellas here will. There was a dude that interviewed in the past couple years who said he was hired to organize Ed's stuff for a possible release. The guy claimed Ed had a bunch of stuff and that he spent X amount of time working on the project before it fell through. So I'd assume Ed has something, but who knows what.

Having said that, I'd be the first person in line to buy a true box set of everything they have. I'd rather spend a couple hundred bucks on that than I would spend a couple hun to go see WH live again.
